Bob Curnow Series
"Some time ago, I found a couple of Christmas CDs on the Dayspring Record label, recorded by a vocal group called First Call. All of the arranging was done by David Maddox, and I was "blown away" with the imaginative, modern, exciting writing. It is very reminiscent of the writing done by Gene Puerling for the Hi-Los and Singers Unlimited. With permission, I have taken two of those arrangements and adapted them for jazz ensemble instrumentation. They're fairly easy to play, and I've played them a lot with my band over the last couple of years. You can hear them both on our demo CD 108. I hope you enjoy them both." ...... Bob Curnow
