COMMERCIAL (full length recordings) CD information

As always, Bill Holman's music is marvelous (Look for his charts in his series

and in the Stan Kenton Series).  We have two new charts from
his new CD "Hommage." Other Bill Holman charts (last year) are from the
"Bill Holman Band Live"CD. Both CDs can be purchased at www.jazzedmedia.com.

For those of you who have purchased Oliver Nelson charts in the past, and
have been frustrated with not being able to find full-length recordings,
here is some EXCITING news. Mosaic Records has released a CD set with all
of Nelson's recordings for Impulse and Verve Records. This is a sensational
collection of just about everything that we print of Oliver's. Go to
mosaicrecords.com, and look for Item 233-MD-CD before these sets are all
gone.

The "Kansas City Suite" is recorded on a CD by the North Texas Two'O'Clock
Jazz Band done in 1999 called "A Salute to Benny Carter." This is on the
Klavier label. You can find it at www.cdconnection.com.

There is also a CD of the Bill Potts charts from "The Jazz Soul of Porgy &
Bess." It is called "Porgy & Bess + Bye Bye Birdie" (Lone Hill Jazz), and
can be bought from www.cduniverse.com or www.ejazzlines.com.

Vocal charts

I often hear from folks that we have so many great charts that they don't
know where to start with their selection.  While that might be a nice
"problem" to have, I encourage you to listen and re-listen to the demo CDs
to jog your memory about past publications.  They never get old or
out-dated, because (in my opinion) most of them are true big band classics.
The demo CDs really do help a lot, and we provide them at the nominal cost
of $1.00 each for the cost of the mailing.  Audio clips for the New Issues
are now available.

Thank you for all of your past support.  We're only able to keep doing what
we are doing because of the continuing help of our ever-growing number of
loyal "customers," friends and colleagues around the world.

Sincerely,

Bob Curnow
